Language Requirements

All abstracts must be submitted in English using the online submission form available on the ESEM26 website.

Note: Abstracts submitted via email, fax, or post will not be accepted. The conference organizers will not be held responsible for any abstracts not properly submitted in adherence to the provided guidelines.

Correspondence

Corresponding authors are required to provide their complete contact details, including:

  • Full mailing address
  • Telephone number (with working hours specified)
  • Fax number
  • Email address

Details for all authors and co-authors must include:

  • Full names (first and last)
  • Department and institution/hospital
  • City, state (if applicable), and country

Abstracts must feature original scientific data collected by the authors. Each submission will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, which reserves the right to determine the format of the presentation (free paper or poster). The committee's decisions are final and may include editorial adjustments to ensure grammatical accuracy and clarity. Presentations may be scheduled for any day during the conference.

Abstract Review and Acceptance
  • All abstracts must present original scientific data generated by the authors.
  • Each submission must clearly declare whether the material has been previously published, presented at another conference, or has received any awards.
  • All abstracts will be reviewed by the ESEM26 Abstracts Review Committee, which reserves the right to:
  • Accept or reject submissions
  • Determine the presentation format (oral or poster)
  • Schedule accepted abstracts within the scientific program based on topic relevance and time constraints

The ESEM26 Abstracts Review Committee's decisions are final. Accepted presentations may be scheduled on any day of the conference.

Abstract Structure and Guidelines
  • Title: Must be concise, written in uppercase (capital letters), and not exceed 20 words.
  • Authors: Include all contributing authors' names as they should appear in the Final Program.
  • Abstract Text: Should be no less than 250 words and no more than 600 words.
Additional Guidelines:
  • A maximum of three (3) keywords is allowed per abstract. Additional keywords will not be recognized beyond the first three.
  • Tables: Maximum of one (1) table per submission, with no more than five (5) columns and ten (10) rows.
  • Tables must be submitted in JPG, BMP, or GIF formats (maximum width: 9cm; resolution: 150 dpi).
  • Figures: Maximum of one (1) figure per submission, in JPG, BMP, or GIF formats (maximum dimensions: 350 pixels; file size: 200 KB).
  • Ensure all figures, tables, and graphs are appropriately formatted and may be resized for final print materials.
  • References: Do not include references in the abstract.
  • Keywords: Should not be included in the abstract text.
  • Abbreviations: Spell out in parentheses upon first use in the abstract.
Presentation Formats
  • Oral Presentation: Accepted authors will be contacted with detailed instructions. Oral presentations are limited to 10 minutes in length.
  • Poster Presentation: Accepted authors will receive further information and instructions upon confirmation.
