Overview
The Emirates Society of Emergency Medicine (ESEM) invites Emergency Medicine
residents to participate in the Resident Journal Club (RJC) Track at the
Emirates Society of Emergency Medicine Conference 2026 (ESEM26).
Taking place from 09–12 December 2026 at the
Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Recognized as one of the conference’s most sought-after educational tracks,
the Resident Journal Club provides an exceptional platform to present
influential research, exchange ideas with peers and experts,
and gain recognition on a regional stage.

What to Expect
Selected residents will deliver a 10-minute journal club presentation on a peer-reviewed article that has significantly influenced their clinical practice.
Presentations will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges based on predefined criteria.
The highest-scoring presenter will be recognized during the ESEM26 Closing Ceremony, celebrating excellence in academic discussion and evidence-based practice.

Resident Program Directors are invited to nominate one resident by submitting:

Selection Process
The ESEM26 Scientific Committee will review all submissions and select the top eight residents to present at the conference.
