Abdulaziz Boker

Dr. Boker is the current Chairman of the Exam committee of the Saudi & Arab Scientific Boards of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Saudi Commission of Heath Specialties (SCHS) and Arab Board of Medical Specialties, respectively. He is the past Chairman of the Saudi Scientific Board of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at SCFHS. During his term as Board chairman, Dr. Boker led a major curriculum reform for the national training program in anesthesia and critical care medicine in Saudi Arabia and many other Arab countries. He obtained his medical college degree from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah with honors, he then obtained Royal College of Canada certification in anaesthesia and masters of medical education. Dr. Boker has very active involvement in medical education and Health Simulation at local, regional, national, and international levels.

Dr. Boker was the founding chairman for the Academic Department of Medical Education in 2006, and also founded of the King Abdulaziz University Clinical Skills and Simulation Center (KAU CSSC) in 2007 at college of medicine, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In 2016 and 2017, KAU CSSC achieved full accreditation status from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and Society of Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) in all accreditations standards, namely, core, teaching/learning, assessment, integration and Research in Simulation-Based Education. Also, in August 2017, the KAU CSSC team received the ASPIRE award, Simulation Category, from the AMEE( Association of Medical Education in Europe). KAU CSSC has become the first and only simulation center in the world to receive these three distinguished recognitions.

Given his outstanding record of educational program improvements and reforms, he was the first recipient of the "International Residency Educator of the Year (2014) Award" from the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). ). In 2016, he was also the first recipient of the "Regional Excellence in Simulation Award" from 3rd UAE simulation & 2nd Society of Simulation Applied to Healthcare in Europe (SESAM) MENA Regional conference.

Introduced and developed MRI Liver, MRI small bowel and CT Colonography imaging services at Mafraq Hospital. I also support and provide non vascular interventional services locally.

I was working as a consultant Radiologist at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS , UK between Oct 2006 and May 2014. Chesterfield Royal Hospital is a 640-bedded Secondary care District General Hospital with 24 hours accident and emergency department I am a General Radiologist with a special interest in Abdominal and Non Vascular Interventional Radiology. Lead Radiologist for colorectal, upper GI cancer MDT and Carcinoma of unknown primary MDT as well as inflammatory bowel disease MDT.

I did two sessions of routine interventions, one session of ultrasound, one session of fluoroscopy and four sessions of cross sectional imaging in UK. Successfully completed yearly Consultant Appraisal at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. Completed 360degree multi source feedback appraisal in year 2008 and 2012 at Chesterfield Hospital with an excellent feedback. Achieved clinical excellence award from the local Hospital with 2 points in 2010.

Dr. Morgan is a Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, GA USA. Dr. Morgan obtained his M.D. degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1991. He completed an Emergency Medicine residency in 1994 at Metro Health Medical Center and a Medical Toxicology fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center in 1996. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology. In 2000, Dr. Morgan founded a combined Medical Toxicology fellowship training program with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Emory University and the Georgia Poison Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He serves as the Director of the Medical Toxicology fellowship and is the Chief of the Medical Toxicology section. Dr. Morgan established and directs the Georgia Occupational and Environmental Toxicology clinic at Grady Memorial Hospital. It is the only clinic in the state Georgia certified by the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics. Dr. Morgan is the Director of the Southeastern United States for Advanced Hazmat Life Support. Through this educational program Dr. Morgan has instructed > 1500 health care providers in the proper care of the hazmat patient.

He obtained his Medical Doctor degree with Great Distinction at the University Catholique of Louvain in Brussels, and his Ph.D. degree with dissertation entitled "Experimental and clinical studies on the neurological outcome after cardiopulmonary arrest" at the Free University of Brussels, Belgium in 2002. In addition to special competence in disaster medicine (1994), he obtained board certification in Pediatrics (1994), Emergency Medicine (1995), Neonatal Care Medicine (1997) and Intensive Care Medicine (2005).

Prior to becoming Professor in Pediatric and Critical Care Medicine in 2005 first at the Free University Hospital Brussels, and in 2012 in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at the University of Ghent, Belgium, Professor Hachimi- Idrissi obtained Fellowship at Safar Centre for Resuscitation Research, at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, and has also been active as European Instructor and Course director of Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Life Support. He was also lectured and worked as Assistant Professor at the Free University in Brussels Faculty of Medicine, as well as Director of medico-legal aspects at that institution. He was also Vice President of the Educative Program in the Master for nurses and midwives and the secretary of the Educative Program in the Master for medical Science.

In May 2012 moved professor Hachimi-Idrissi to Ghent, where he is Clinical Chief of the Emergency Medicine at the University Hospital of Ghent, also he is professor of Emergency and Critical Medicine at the University of Ghent. Currently he is the president of the Belgian Society of Emergency and Disaster Medicine as well as the Chairman of the Cerebral Resuscitation Research Group and Executive Member of the Pediatric Section of the Eusem. Professor Hachimi-Idrissi has published clinical studies extensively in peer-reviewed international publications, as well as acted as reviewer for different journals of Emergency Medicine. Professor Hachimi- Idrissi is well established on the international lecture circuit as moderator and speaker in numerous international critical and intensive care meetings over the past two decades. Actively involved in therapeutic mild hypothermia research field after different ischemic insult in animal model as well as in clinical setting.

Dr. Kazim trained at McGill University from 2007-2014. She is noted to enjoy working within a team and has excellent leadership skills. She collaborates well with her teachers and colleague. Of special interest to her is the passion to teach and learn. She organized a highly rated medical simulation course on different critical toxicological scenarios for emergency medicine residents in Montreal, Canada and in Dubai, UAE. Dr. Kazim was trained and worked in different hospitals in Dubai as well as internationally in Montreal, Calgary and New York. She presented at regional and international conferences. She has several publications in the field of emergency medicine and medical toxicology. Dr. Kazim has recently joined Rashid Hospital in Dubai and is happy to be part of emergency medicine family in the UAE. Enhancing emergency care across the UAE and establishing a poison free environment are among her top priorities in the coming years.

Born in 1975 and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Dr. Kazzi trained in Emergency Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta (2000-03) where he served as a chief resident before completing a subspecialty fellowship in Medical Toxicology at Emory University, Georgia Poison Center and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta. He is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology. Dr. Kazzi joined the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) between 2005 and 2008 where he served as a Medical Toxicologist for the Regional Poison Control Center in Birmingham and the Alabama Poison Center. Currently, he is an associate professor at the department of Emergency Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia as well as the director of the International Toxicology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at Emory University. He is also the assistant medical director of the Georgia Poison Center and a medical toxicologist at the Radiation Studies Branch of the National Center for Environmental Health at the CDC where he participates in emergency preparedness and response activities in radiation.

As an emergency physician and toxicologist, Dr. Kazzi specializes in the recognition, triage, and management of poisonings and holds a deep interest in the areas of Radiation and International Toxicology. He co-founded and co-chairs the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology Radiation Interest Group since 2009 and chairs the Abstract Review Committee for the North American Congress of Clinical Toxicology. In October 2014, he will start his service as a board member of the American College of Medical Toxicology. Dr. Kazzi has extensively lectured at National and International conferences and developed several curricula and training programs in emergency preparedness and response. He is an active and founding board member of the Middle East North Africa Toxicology Association and currently serves as its treasurer.
